It’s FSG 40 Friday! All year long we are celebrating our 40th anniversary and the amazing folks behind FSG. Mike Overton, a 30-year FSG veteran at our Austin branch, is one of those exceptional people.
In this 1996 company newsletter, the Tech Talk section featured Mike Overton. Then, Mike was a licensed electrician in our service department. Today, Mike is the General Superintendent of the electrical construction department in Austin. He is a leader and mentor to his team and an instructor for the apprenticeship training program at FSG.
When shown this throwback article, he said, “Look, you can see my pager in the photo too. We didn’t have cell phones back then. We were paged by the shop [service department dispatcher].”
