After a lifetime of service and an impactful career at FSG, Jose Vinals, Chief Estimator for our New York City market, has made the personal decision to begin transitioning toward retirement.
Jose will continue working full-time through March 31, 2026, and remain fully engaged while supporting a thoughtful and well-planned transition.
Jose’s career reflects a deep commitment to service and leadership. He served our country as an Army pilot, went on to protect New York City for 20 years with the NYPD, and later entered the electrical trade. Jose learned the business from the ground up and grew into leadership roles before joining FSG. During his 7.5 years with FSG, Jose has been instrumental in building and sustaining a market-leading estimating department in New York City. He is widely respected as a mentor, steady leader, and father figure who consistently strives to leave people and teams better than he found them.
Beyond his professional impact, Jose is a devoted family man. He is happily married to his wife, Mandy, whom he met at FSG, and is preparing for the next chapter by building a new home in Guyana, where he plans to spend much of his time with Mandy and their youngest child.
