Congratulations to John Lienesch on receiving his Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) Certification.
Based on the growing demand for qualified professionals, the Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and Certified Energy Auditor in Training (CEAIT) certifications were developed and added to the broad portfolio of professional certifications offered by the Association of Energy Engineers.
Rising energy costs and inefficiency in plants and buildings is continually driving the need for trained and experienced energy auditors. The CEA certification is one that identifies professionals as having the required knowledge and experience needed to succeed in the growing field of energy auditing.
Local Law 87 for New York City requires all buildings in New York City over 50,000 square feet to perform retro-commissioning of systems and to submit an energy efficiency report based on a building audit performed by a qualified energy auditor. Under Local Law 87, the Association of Energy Engineers’ Certified Energy Auditor and Certified Energy Manager certifications are approved for energy auditing.
John is a Lighting Design and Auditing SME for the NE and is the first member of the NE to receive his CEA certifications. John worked at FSG while attending Seton Hall University and joined full time upon graduating.
