Electrical Fabrication Manager
Job Description
As the Electrical Fabrication Manager, you will lead the Project Team’s in organizing, planning, designing, and coordinating detailed electrical prefab for multiple projects across a variety of FSG divisions. We are looking for someone who can run this division smoothly and with the highest level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will be career-oriented, bring solid ideas and be able to hit the ground running.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate companywide and externally with Field Management, BIM/Revit Team, PM’s and Estimating to establish prefabrication opportunities from project start.
- Collaborate companywide and externally with Field and Project Management throughout the project life cycle to ensure the organization is using prefabrication in an efficient capacity.
- Perform quality control on all material that leaves the shop
- Perform quality assurance on all material by ensuring that it consistently meets the needs of the project.
- Process and develop an implementation plan for projects and staffing.
- Lead weekly Prefab Dept. meetings.
- Responsible for master Prefab Department scheduling.
- A demonstrated track record of maintaining strict safety standards.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and make decisions quickly with quality, safety and integrity in mind.
- Ability to estimate or in conjunction with the electrical estimator provide pricing to customers.
- Develop your team by identifying training and career paths to reach their highest potential.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years experience in electrical construction as a Prefab Manager.
- Management experience of a team 5- 10.
- Experience in a prefabrication and office environment.
- Able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
- Able to begin a project with little to no direction.
- Able to coach and develop a team to meet targets.
- Able to see how their department’s work supports the organization as a whole.
- Able to proactively communicate needs to appropriate parties to ensure the department runs smoothly.
- Computer experience with basic functions and software
- Has successfully run a range of different project sizes in the Mission Critical, Healthcare and Commercial electrical projects.
