Job Description

The Director of Preconstruction plays a crucial role in the success of FSG Construction by managing, mentoring, and working closely with all the Estimating and Preconstruction teams. Their responsibility includes overseeing preconstruction and ensuring accurate estimation, scheduling, and project budgeting. Additionally, the Director of Preconstruction collaborates with other stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to construction phase, leading to successful project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish, uphold, and enforce the FSG Cost Modeling Product System philosophy of Integrity, Accuracy, Clarity, and Definition.
  • Responsible For developing, implementing, maintaining, and overseeing the construction estimating database.
  • Responsible for structure, format, and content of FSG Preconstruction project archives
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing estimating application user training and support.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing, and enforcing FSG Preconstruction Centralization Initiatives.
  • Preconstruction Centralized Data File Structure
  • Forms of Proposal to Market
  • Preconstruction Processes and Process Forms
  • FSG Engage Platform Integration & Development Assistance
  • Preconstruction General Policy & Procedure
  • Preconstruction Best Practices
  • Project Review per criteria mandated by the Construction Leadership team.
  • Preconstruction Team Assist program.
  • Analytic data compilation
  • Responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and procedural compliance enforcement.
  • Exclusive use of the Centralized estimating database for all Construction Divisions
  • Exclusive use of centrally maintained Project Estimating Default data.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a Preconstruction Manager.
  • Knowledge of cost modeling metrics
  • Talent in negotiations and networking.
  • Expert user of Accubid
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
