Laborer
Job Description
The laborer position requires many physical demands such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, working outside in inclement weather conditions, and walking long distances and on uneven terrain. Proper PPE will be provided to ensure all safety requirements are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs various physical duties as assigned.
- Maintain safety standards.
- Perform specialized tasks that may require on and off-the-job training and assist other craft workers.
- Effectively use heavy and small equipment and tools, depending on the jobsite/tasks.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, fall protection, respirators, etc. as needed.
- Demolition waste cleanup and removal
- Decontamination work.
- Site, shop, and vehicle maintenance and housekeeping.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Ability to multitask while staying organized
