FSG Witnesses a Historic Yankee Moment

fsgBaseballFSG Northeast’s customers witness history in the making at customer event held in Yankee Stadium.

How many opportunities do you get to have your customers around you during one of the most memorable moments in the history of sports? While it’s a rarity, FSG Northeast was lucky enough to get this opportunity on September 26th in the legendary Yankee Stadium.

FSG’s New Jersey 14, New York City 25, and Long Island 24 branches teamed up with ESI Power Corporation (a solar & renewable energy systems partner of FSG) for a very memorable night that no one will ever forget. Back in June, FSG was approached with partnering with ESI on a suite to network with each others customers. What started out as a unique networking opportunity, turned into history in the making for anyone in attendance.

Mariano Rivera, touted as the greatest closing pitcher of all time, announced his retirement from Major League baseball at the end of the season. With the Yankees not in the playoff picture, the final regular season home game of the season on September 26th vs the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, turned into his last time ever to pitch in a game. A truly historic moment that customers were anxious to come to, turned into a very hot tickets, with some even requesting to bring their children to witness.
With 70 baseball fans in the Budweiser Hall of Fame Lounge in Yankee Stadium, there wasn’t a dry eye when “Enter Sandman” blasted over the PA system and #42 entered one last time from the bullpen. When he was pulled from the game in the 9th inning by Yankee Legends Andy Petitte and Derek Jeter, he was greeted as he exited with a 5 minute thunderous ovation.

The customer event hosted in a premier lounge in the new Yankee Stadium offered customers a variety of food stations, fresh seafood, sushi, desserts, and more. The night was a resounding success with contacts and prospects attending such as large financial institutions in the NYC, Nautica Retail, Town Sports International, , Tiffany & Co, American Express, A&P Supermarkets, various large property management companies, and many more.

A networking opportunity that mixed business with overall fun, while witnessing one of the top sports moments of 2013 with some of our largest customers, capped off a truly memorable FSG Northeast event. We have already secured the final night next year, knowing another legendary Yankee Legend’s retirement might not be far behind!

THE NIGHT WAS NOT OVER………………………….
Additionally, we also were surprised to find that FSG24’s Operations Manager Doug Tripodo is a professional drummer with an extremely long list of accolades and awards. Learning of this, one of the events attendees was able to arrange for Doug Tripodo to sit in with a band in Smiths Bar near Times Square. We have pictures of this great night, and video that guarantee that if FSG were to ever put together a band, we already found our percussionist! Great job Doug – truly impressive performance……!
