Celebrating Greg Graham’s 40 Years at FSG

After four decades of dedication to FSG San Antonio, Greg is stepping into retirement and we couldn’t let him go without a proper send-off.

A Legacy of Hard Work and Relationships

Greg’s journey with FSG began in the company’s early years, working alongside Bill Graham and Steve Byrne in San Antonio. While Bill and Steve were out growing the business, Greg was back at the shop keeping everything running. He handled the shipping and receiving, pulled orders, invoiced customers, and did whatever else was needed to keep things moving.

After a brief stint working with his father at Philips Lighting, Greg returned to FSG and built a successful career in sales. Over time, he became the San Antonio branch’s sales manager before returning to outside sales, where he cultivated long-standing relationships with customers. But Greg didn’t see customers as customers, he always referred to them as his friends.

A Proper Send-Off

To celebrate Greg’s retirement, the team threw a luncheon featuring his favorite food – pizza. Many past and present employees joined, including retired colleagues Donnie Zvonek, Darryl Schauer from Spectrum Lighting, and Steve Tristan from ERT Lighting. The party was filled with lots of entertaining stories from the “good old days” and plenty of laughter.

After the reminiscing, Greg took the floor to give his memorable “By God” speech, thanking everyone for being part of his 40-year journey in the industry. As a parting gift, the team presented him with a custom .22 long rifle as a fitting send-off for a man who has given so much to FSG.

What’s Next?

Greg’s retirement plans are still taking shape, but he and his wife, Debbie, are considering using his $10,000 retirement travel voucher on a trip to the Florida Keys. Wherever the road takes him in this new chapter, we know he’ll approach it with the same warmth and dedication he brought to his career. Congratulations, Greg! Wishing you all the best in your retirement!
