Meet the Learning Department!
The FSG Learning Department is here to ensure that all FSG employees feel supported and educated in their journey through FSG. Currently, they are working diligently to bring FSG Learning to fruition, which will aid all employees in building their soft and hard skills to better perform their job. Meet the FSG Learning Department!
Robin Taylor, FSG’s Learning Director, began her career as the Secretary of Store Services at the HEB Headquarters in San Antonio, TX. After a couple of years, she moved to Amtech Lighting where she spent nearly twelve years in the Service and Projects Departments. In March 2006, Robin started as a Service Coordinator with FSG in Houston, TX. Within a couple of years, she transitioned into the Training and Development department. There, she grew into a PMO Manager role and became FSG’s Director of Learning in January 2020. She and her team are currently building the e-learning platform, FSG Learning, for all FSG employees. Robin is married with three grown children and several grandchildren. Outside of FSG, she enjoys spending her time with her family and working with adults with disabilities.
Jessica Miller, FSG’s Learning Trainer, worked as a Project Coordinator for Comedia Communications managing and installing VOIP phone systems and leading a team of technicians. Jessica began her tenure with FSG in May 2008. For nearly twelve years, she worked in the Service Department for FSG Houston, first as a Dispatcher, then moved into a Coordinator position. In March 2020, Jessica joined the Learning Department as a Trainer. She has been training new hires throughout the company while developing the e-learning platform. Apart from FSG, Jessica loves spending time with her eleven-year-old son and her family. She is involved in her church, leading Ministry teams and coordinating outreach events.
Jamie Morgan, FSG’s Learning Instructional Designer, joined FSG’s Learning Department in the midst of the pandemic and is building the learning management system content for FSG Learning. Jamie has a passion for education. Prior to starting with FSG, she was a contract instructional designer, trainer, and consultant with more than twenty years of e-learning, computer software, database, and web development experience. Jamie participated as Subject Matter Expert with Adobe in writing exams and curriculum. She provided instructional design and academic and corporate training on a wide variety of software applications including, but not limited to Storyline, CSS, HTML, SQL, database design concepts, and more. She has also conducted needs analysis, developed curriculum for various courses, designed databases and web pages, and produced interactive multimedia presentations. Outside of work, she practices yoga, bakes cookies, and might have a bit of a shoe addiction.
