He “hunted” Brandon down for 2-months to make sure he was recognized for his safety awareness…
Today I had the honor to witness one of our employees be recognized at the Shell Westhollow 2011 Safety Awards luncheon, held at the Shell Technology Center in Houston Texas. Just one day after a normal “Good Morning” exchange between two parties, Brandon Watterson simply stated to a Shell employee while going their separate ways, “Be safe”. The Shell employee could not forget the exchange. He “hunted” Brandon down for 2-months to make sure he was recognized for his safety awareness and committment. For this, Brandon was issued a Safety Advocate award. He was the only site contractor employee recipient of an award. The next time you see Brandon, please thank him for exceptionally representing FSG Electric.
Brandon is a 4th year apprentice, working on the Shell Phase 1A project in CA Building as a part of the project closeout crew. CA Building is a Hi-Tech Petro-Chemical Research Lab.
Special thanks also goes to David Villarreal (Assistant PM) and Tom Dishman (Safety Supervisor/ Foreman) for submitting this article.
