Remembering Tony Hessom

Today we pause with heavy hearts to remember and honor the life of Anthony “Tony” Hessom, FSG National Accounts Director.

Anthony “Tony” Hessom

Tony passed away on July 29 surrounded by family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for life. He is survived by his wife, Julia Ann, and their two children.

When asked about Tony, Bob Graham said, “The unexpected passing of Tony Hessom saddens us. Tony’s unwavering commitment and significant contributions have left an unforgettable mark on our organization and its continued success. Tony joined FSG six years ago with a vision and determination to make a difference. He played a pivotal role in building a profitable sales book of business and cultivating new, enduring customer relationships that will undoubtedly contribute to FSG for many years.

Tony was also a true team player who recognized the vital importance of effective communication and the establishment of accurate expectations both within our organization and externally. Tony’s presence will be sorely missed by each of us who had the privilege to work alongside him. We will remember the positive impact he made on our business and the people like myself who called Tony our friend.”

One of Tony’s teammates reflected, “Tony was the epitome of a positive, uplifting, thoughtful, and dependable teammate and friend. I will always remember and miss him for his stories, industry knowledge, thoughtful ‘just checkin’ on you!’ text messages, and his contagious smile. I am heartbroken for all that knew and loved him.”

Another teammate said, “When I was with him, he always told me stories about his family. Their lives, adventures, and even struggles. He was very transparent, which I appreciated – no hidden agendas – what you saw was exactly what you got. Tony was a man I counted as my friend, as a coworker, and most importantly, as a brother. He always led with his heart and was always ready to lead a hand or to offer his sage-like advice. I came across a quote recently and I instantly thought of Tony: ‘What you do is your history. What you set in motion is your legacy.’ There is a legacy left by Tony – it is seen in his family, his friends, his neighbors, his clients, and basically anyone that he touched. The legacy of love.”

Beyond the office, Tony’s life was a journey marked by passion and an innate ability to connect with people. Starting as a technician with Sylvania, he then progressed to JG Electric as Vice President, and finally, took his favorite role as National Accounts Director for FSG.

Tony’s passions were as diverse as his personality. From raising his children with kindness and forward-thinking values to indulging in hobbies like watching movies, camping, cooking, and bird-watching, he lived life wholeheartedly. He often shared these passions with loved ones, creating lasting memories and cherished moments.

As we remember Tony Hessom, let’s honor his memory by carrying forward his spirit of connection, kindness, and the belief that every interaction has the power to make a difference.
