On Saturday, December 22nd, Robin Taylor, Div 99, and Johnny Schooler, Div 40, teamed up for their first ½ marathon.
You can imagine their surprise when they arrived at the site of “The Day After The End Of The World ½ Marathon” and began the run. It turned out to be more of a boot camp obstacle course with sand dunes, steep ravines, high, wet grass areas and uneven dirt and mud trails! Both completed the 13.1 mile race in just over 3 hours, unscathed & with only a few sore body parts. Asked if they would run another ½ marathon, both said YES, but would prefer a flat surface track the next time!
