West-Lite Supply, Now a Part of FSG

As FSG embraces its mission to grow as an institution, the company continues to seek out opportunities to expand its reach through targeted acquisitions and investments in other companies that share FSG’s vision and support the facility services we provide.

One such company is California’s West-Lite Supply Company, Inc., and as 2022 comes to a close we are thrilled to announce that West-Lite Supply has joined the FSG family.

Brenda Puckett, along with her parents Herman and Rosemary Haverland and brother Garry Haverland, built an amazing reputation in the lighting industry.  Founded in 1981, West-Lite Supply Company, Inc. operates out of two locations, one in northern California near San Francisco and a second location in Cerritos near Los Angeles.  For more than 40 years, this second-generation family business has served its customers as a successful wholesale lighting distributor and has consistently ranked among the top 100 U.S. lighting distributors.

Leon Mowadia, FSG’s Chief Operating Officer for Distribution, has enjoyed a long relationship with the family behind West-Lite Supply Company.  When asked about this exciting development, Leon said:

“Brenda has carried on the family tradition during the past 8 years, delivering quality products and service to West-Lite’s dedicated customer partners.  I look forward to leveraging the expertise of the West-Lite family of employees who are joining FSG, and together leading FSG’s expansion throughout California.”

Brenda Puckett, West-Lite’s President has served with Bill Graham on NAILD’s board of directors, and Leon Mowadia actively as well with their family businesses, industry events, and friendship for 35 years had this to say:

“West-Lite has been a leader in the California marketplace for 40 years. With the additional services that FSG offers, we are excited to tackle the California market with the same goals and values that have made us successful. I am excited to work with family and friends going forward.”

With its long list of retail, commercial, and municipal accounts, West-Lite Supply Company’s legacy, employees, and assets will immediately provide a dramatic boost to FSG’s current business in southern California.  In response to the news, FSG’s Los Angeles branch director Chad Owens had this to say about the acquisition of West-Lite:

“We are excited about WLS becoming part of the FSG family.  This is a great opportunity to not only increase our distribution footprint within the market, but also to increase the services we can provide to existing WLS customers, including lighting and electrical service, retrofits, and EV charging.  Also, with the addition of the Hayward location, we will now have the ability to add FSG service trucks to Northern California and better serve our customers there.”

Bill Graham, FSG’s President believes:

“This union between FSG and West-Lite is proof small family-focused, private companies are still the backbone of our economy and the best places to grow and prosper lives, communities, and entrepreneurism. The future for all stakeholders shines brighter and we are all thankful and excited to play this plan forward into 2023 and beyond.”

As we all know, FSG is one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, energy management solutions, and signage.  With the addition of West-Lite Supply, our presence on the west coast has instantly grown to a level that allows us to compete with the largest and most established players in the markets we serve.

With all the tools in place, all that’s left is for FSG’s famous service excellence and lasting value to win the day and move us to the top of the list in the Golden State!

Congratulations to all our new friends and fellow employees from West-Light Supply and to our newly expanded FSG family across California!  Let’s go get ‘em in 2023!
