Times of crisis are when it is most important to show up for your community. As Hurricane Harvey consumed the Texas Gulf Coast in August 2017, Houston saw record-breaking rainfall and flooding. Three parking garages located in the Theater District in Downtown Houston were completely submerged for days. Houston First Corporation assigned Gilbane to head the recovery projects for these three garages, who then turned to FSG Houston to execute the electrical work.
The outpouring of support across Texas during this natural disaster was a silver lining during the time of hardship for many. Using their expertise, FSG provided several generators in order to provide temporary lighting for the clean-up crews onsite. Beyond assisting the other crews, FSG’s scope of work included the replacement or refurbishment of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment. FSG Houston was able to assist the community by bringing power to three parking facilities Downtown.
