Congratulations Argyle Elementary

FSG wishes to congratulate David Wintermute and his team of students from Argyle Elementary School for taking second place in the National Archery School Program state tournament.

David has been an instructor and coach in the National Archery School Program or NASP for the last three years. This year they have 130 students involved in the program with 69 students qualifying for the state tournament which was held at the Belton Expo Center on April 1st

The team took second place in the tournament only losing the first place slot by 55 points. David explains, “As archery goes, that is like losing a high scoring state basketball game by only 4 points.”

David writes, “I am so proud of all the kids and all the hard work they put in to improve themselves getting ready for this.  I have had a fantastic time helping them perfect and improve their skills in this sport. The greatest reward is to see their self-confidence grow as individuals and as a team.”

From the state tournament, 24 students on David’s team have qualified to go the national tournament which will be held in Kentucky May 12Th-14Th . David’s daughter, Rylee Ann, happens to be one of them. David says of Rylee Ann, “She is ranked 5th place of all 5th grade girls in Texas. I couldn’t be more proud of her.”

David asks that we keep these students in prayer as they prepare for the next level of competition. David is also seeking any donations or travel assistance that will help with travel expenses for students that might not otherwise be able to afford the trip to Kentucky.

To help David’s team out, contact David Wintermute or Kristina Stapp at FSG National Accounts.

FSG sends its warmest congratulations to all the students who worked so hard and a heartfelt thanks to David for his willingness to sacrifice his time and energy to build up the next generation.
