Job Description

As a Signs Estimator, you will prepare and coordinate complete estimates for custom signs of all types, primarily for business establishments needing identity signage. The ideal applicant will be accountable for applying diversified knowledge of sign building and installation principles and practices in broad areas of sign-related projects, understanding structural engineering principles, being able to resolve questions related to all aspects of signage, and developing cost-effective sign pricing solutions for our sales team. This position interacts throughout the organization internally and with vendors externally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge of general construction equipment, materials, and means/methods of execution
  • Excellent communication skills to consult with vendors and personnel within the company
  • Must be able to read and analyze blueprints, CAD drawings, plans, and other documents
  • Must be able to break down a design into component lists
  • Capable of understanding the production steps and timing associated with each
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail is a must
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (primarily Excel and Word)


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Estimating experience: 3 years
  • Signs Industry: 2 years
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive customer service skills
  • Experience in lighting and electrical is a plus!
