FSG 40 | The World Wide Web

It’s FSG 40 Friday! All year long we are celebrating our 40th anniversary and the amazing folks behind FSG.

As we look back at 40 years, we’re able to see all of the technological advances that have occurred in the world. The Internet is certainly the largest innovation that’s played a part in everything in our daily lives.

This archived FSG Newsletter from 1996 acts as a time capsule. We’re able to see the introduction of the Internet, talk of spiders on the World Wide Web, Internet email addresses, and how people at FSG prepared for it. Back then, we regularly referred to it as “the World Wide Web,” which later changed to “The Internet,” eventually leading to us calling it “being online. Being such an imperative tool in everyone’s workflow, productivity is wrecked if we lose Internet connection, halting most companies’ operations.

So as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are grateful for the people at FSG who have grown with us as we forged new careers while taking in all these new and wondrous technologies that continue to be invented. We are grateful for each of you and the special skills you continue to bring to the team.

If you have a memory you’d like to share with us, let us know here! Thank you for everything you do to make FSG extraordinary! We wouldn’t be the same without you!
