Need an audit? WHO YOU GUNNA CALL? THE GREEN SQUAD!
FSG was looking for a way to brand our team of skilled auditors in the Northeast…..giving them a funky vibe that would be remembered in the marketplace.
The result is an integrated roll out, complete with six Green Squad vehicles in NJ and Baltimore, a uniform and finally a webpage to pull it all together. The Green Squad is ready to get the word out about energy efficiency and help you upgrade to new energy efficient lighting for your facility.
Kevin Rowe has been building his team for the last several years. Kevin joined FSG in November 2009, after serving in the US Navy for four years as an Aviation Electronic Technician, and then getting a BA in Business Management from New Jersey City University. He took on the challenge of building a best in class audit team whose skills range from lighting design to rebate administration. All Green Team auditors go through a regimented training program which includes a lighting fundamentals course, audit training and ride along with an experienced auditor. Design experience has grown to include AGI32 and AutoCad.
Each auditor has an audit kit that includes a comprehensive set of audit tools, including a light meter, discriminator, ultrasonic tape measure, standard tape measure, caliper, hot lamp remover, inspection mirror, digital camera, counter, screwdriver and measurement wheel (See photo attached). With technology advancing at such a rapid pace, we decided that auditing on paper is a thing of the past! The Green Squad utilizes iPad’s for audit data capture, with an app developed by New Jersey’s own Dave Attardi (collaborating with others throughout the company). The app is customized for FSG’s needs and creates an upload to Green Solutions, or can be copied into our Excel spreadsheet (See screen shot of app).
Fully designed wraps on the Sonics allow the Green Squad to be noticed. The car wrap was designed to reflect the business strategy of FSG and its promise of “satisfying your lighting, electrical and energy management needs”. Also on the cars are the FSG Green logo and the Green Squad logo.

There is a Green Squad in the process of forming at the new branch in Baltimore. Ronnie Cattelona is bringing the Green Squad to Philadelphia, and look for the Green Squad to be arriving in New York sometime soon… and in time who knows where the Green Squad may be!
