Meet the Human Resources Department!

FSG’s Human Resources Department’s purpose is to ensure every employee is equipped with everything they need in order to be successful. Whether you have questions regarding FSG policies, employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, or training, HR is here to help. Meet the Human Resources Department below!

Laney Bedwell, Director of Human Resources

Laney Bedwell is the Director of Human Resources. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Statistical Emphasis and a minor in Business. Laney went on to earn her Master’s in Human Resources from St. Edward’s University. She started her career with FSG in 2011, working in the Payroll Department. In 2020, Laney became the Director of Human Resources. When she is not overseeing the HR Department, she is watching the Texas Longhorns, the Astros, and her little girls dominate the soccer field, all while listening to true-crime podcasts.

Amanda Rogers, Human Resource Specialist

Amanda Rogers, FSG’s Human Resource Specialist, was born and raised in Austin. Shortly after graduating from the University of Texas, she worked with an innovative Applied Behavioral Analysis school dedicated to working with children with Autism and other developmental delays. Unfortunately, it lost funding after four years of hard work and dedication with a special group of students and parents. Amanda then moved on to a public service career with the Austin Police Department in the Emergency Communications division. She worked with the public and law enforcement officers through some tough but rewarding days. In August 2015, Amanda started as a System Administrator with FSG. Within a short time, she transitioned into the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist within the Human Resources Department, and it’s been nothing but onwards and upwards from there. Outside of FSG, she enjoys spending her time with her family and friends and taking on more and more elaborate hobbies, and, of course, taking her sweet dog, Lola, all over Austin.

Jarysel Miller, FSG Northeast HR Administrator

Jarysel Miller serves as FSG’s Northeast HR Administrator and brings over six years of HR experience. Prior to joining the Human Resources Team, Jarysel began her career at FSG in 2010 as the Program Administrative Assistant for several utility programs. Today, she is responsible for providing resources to over two hundred fifty FSG Northeast employees while responding to employee inquiries on policies and procedures, benefits, and more. She manages the new hire onboarding experience and maintains a focus on employee relations issues. Jarysel earned a B.A. in Psychology from Georgian Court University. Outside of FSG, Jarysel enjoys spending quality time with her family and trying new recipes.

Dorothy Dorantes, more commonly known as DeeDee, is FSG Houston’s HR Administrator. Prior to joining FSG, she worked as a Customer Service Rep and Shipping Clerk for ten years. DeeDee joined FSG after her husband, the Warehouse Supervisor at the time, informed her they were looking for a few temporary office employees. She joined the FSG family as a permanent employee in 2008, starting in the warehouse. There was a bit of a learning curve seeing as though her previous experience was strictly clerical, but she remained in the warehouse for nine years before transitioning to Counter and Inside Sales. DeeDee thrived in this position, building close relationships with her customers. Being bilingual, she was able to work with customers that spoke more Spanish than English, ensuring they were receiving the proper care and products. After hearing that Human Resources opened up an HR Administrative position earlier this year, Gary Roy, FSG Houston’s Division Vice President, recommended DeeDee for the position. DeeDee has stepped into the role with great enthusiasm and is excited for future opportunities within FSG. Apart from FSG, DeeDee finds joy in spending time with her family, which consists of being a mother to five daughters and a grandmother to nine grandchildren.
