Congratulations to Ty Gutierrez of FSG Austin for winning the Central Texas IEC Wire-Off Competition! As a graduate of IEC’s apprenticeship program and now a licensed Journeyman Electrician, Ty will go on to compete at the national level for a chance to win Apprentice of the Year.
Ty will be heading to Louisville, Kentucky in October to compete at the National IEC and Expo against the top apprentice electricians in the country.
Ty says competing in the regional competition allowed him to show his growth over the past four years from his experiences with IEC and FSG. “I am excited to compete at the national level for the same reasons, but am also looking forward to seeing the newest technologies brought forward by electrical manufacturers, that I will hopefully be working with in the near future.”
