Spending time among God’s creation allows us to feel closer to Him and those who’ve left this physical Earth for everlasting life. Chad Owens, FSG Placentia’s Division Vice President, demonstrated this when participating in the fundraising golf tournament hosted by the Esperanza High School football program, benefiting Jake Johnson’s upcoming football season.
Jake Johnson, the eldest son of Jared Johnson, FSG Placentia’s former Division VP, will be a freshman this fall. As a longtime friend of the family, Chad didn’t hesitate to participate in the tournament, exhibiting his unwavering support for the Johnson family. Chad represented not only himself, but the entirety of FSG during the game, ultimately taking home the third place trophy.
As we approach the one-year anniversary of Jared’s passing, we remember the generous and wise man he was, always leaving people better than he found them. Spend some time with nature today, feel the warm embrace of the sun, and remember those that are no longer physically with us. There is evidence of our loved ones all around us, we just need to slow down to fully recognize it.
