FSG Announces New Chief Operating Officer of Construction
We have some exciting news to share about a change in our leadership team that will shape the future of FSG. After more than 27 years of service, Mark Mitchell, FSG’s Chief Operating Officer of Construction, will be retiring at the end of this year. Mark’s contributions to FSG have been invaluable, and his role as an original member of the Executive Board team has played a significant part in shaping our institution’s success. We will be sharing more details about Mark’s retirement later in the year. While Mark’s departure marks the end of an era, we are thrilled to announce Jason Zipprian as FSG’s new Chief Operating Officer of Construction.
Mark and Jason will work in concert until the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition. We are confident Mark’s mentorship will provide Jason with the insights necessary to succeed in his new role. When asked about the transition, Mark was excited about the future of FSG Construction under Jason’s leadership. He said, “As I step back from my role, I am incredibly optimistic about the future of FSG Construction with Jason at the helm. Jason’s dedication, strategic vision, and leadership skills make him the perfect choice to lead FSG Construction to even greater heights.”
Jason joined FSG Corpus Christi in 1996 as an apprentice electrician. His drive to excel personally and professionally and his dedication to FSG quickly propelled him through the ranks. He earned his Journeyman’s license and soon after assumed roles progressing from Service Dispatcher to Sales, to Service Manager, Project Management, Division Manager, and for the last 20 years, he has served as Executive Vice President of FSG Corpus Christi, Harlingen, and West Texas. Jason’s journey from apprentice electrician to this leadership role showcases his dedication, passion, and resilience. He embodies FSG’s core values and is committed to fostering growth, innovation, and success within our Construction division.
When asked about his new role, Jason said, “Working for FSG for the last twenty-seven years has been an extreme blessing for me and my family. I am excited about all of the extraordinary work that is currently being done, and I will fully support our Team’s continued construction growth across the Nation.”
In addition to his professional achievements, Jason has remained committed to his personal development as well. While working at FSG, Jason attended night school and earned his Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in Business Administration. While earning his MBA and advancing in his career, Jason married his wife Kelly and became a father to their five children. Jason adamantly attributes all of his success to Kelly and her unwavering support.
As Chief Operating Officer, Jason will take the reins of FSG’s entire Construction business. His mission is to strengthen and expand our ongoing construction ventures and scout out fresh opportunities in current and new markets.
